How do I calculate a discount?
Use "What is X% of Y" with the discount percent, then subtract the result from the original price. For a 20% discount on 250: 20% of 250 = 50, so you pay 200.
How is percent change calculated?
Change = (new − old) ÷ old × 100. A positive result is an increase, a negative result a decrease.
What is 15% of 200?
15% of 200 = 30. Choose the "What is X% of Y" mode, enter 15 as the percent and 200 as the value — the result appears instantly as you type.
How do I add 20% VAT to a price?
Multiply the price by 1.20, or use "What is X% of Y" to get the VAT amount and add it to the price. To remove VAT from a total, divide the total by 1.20.
