Frequently asked questions

What is net worth?

Net worth = Total assets − Total liabilities. A positive net worth means you own more than you owe. A negative net worth means your debts exceed your assets — common early in life with student loans or mortgages.

Should I include my home?

Yes — include the current market value of your home as an asset and the remaining mortgage balance as a liability. The difference is your home equity.

What is a good net worth?

Net worth varies enormously by age, income and location. A common benchmark is: net worth ≥ (age × annual income) ÷ 10. More important is the trend — is your net worth growing each year?

Is my data saved anywhere?

No. All calculations happen in your browser. Your financial data never leaves your device.
