Frequently asked questions
What formula does this use?
The three formulas are: Distance = Speed × Time, Speed = Distance ÷ Time, Time = Distance ÷ Speed. Enter any two values and the calculator applies the correct formula.
What units does it use?
Speed is in km/h, distance in km and time in hours. To convert: 1 mile = 1.609 km, 1 m/s = 3.6 km/h.
Can I use it for running pace?
Yes — enter your distance in km and time in hours (e.g. 0.5 for 30 minutes) to get your average speed in km/h. Divide 60 by that speed to get your pace in minutes per km.
How do I convert minutes to hours?
Divide minutes by 60. For example, 90 minutes = 90 ÷ 60 = 1.5 hours. Enter 1.5 in the time field.
